FAQ (Regarding Customs Duties)

Q: Are import duties, VAT, or customs fees included in your prices?

A: No. Import duties, VAT, and other destination-country charges are not included in item prices, service fees, or shipping costs. These fees are the recipient’s responsibility.

Q: Why doesn’t GLOBE collect or pay taxes on my behalf in my country?

A: Because tax rules vary by country and depend on each customer’s circumstances. As a Japan-based proxy purchasing service, we do not collect or remit taxes for foreign governments. Customers must follow the tax and customs rules of their own country.

Q: What happens if customs requests additional information or payment?

A: Customs authorities may require the recipient to provide information or pay duties/taxes before releasing the package. Customers are responsible for responding to customs requests and paying any required charges.

Q: What if a package is refused, returned, or held because duties/taxes were not paid?

A: If a shipment is refused, returned, abandoned, or destroyed due to unpaid charges or customs restrictions, the customer remains responsible for any related costs (return shipping, storage, or disposal fees). Refunds may not be available. We strongly recommend reviewing your local import and tax requirements in advance to avoid delays or unexpected charges.

Important:
Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost and must be paid by the recipient.

Globe Co., Ltd. is not responsible for any delays, customs clearance issues, or additional charges incurred during the import process.
